Join the NYC Compost Project at Build It Green!NYC as a Compost Coordinator at Grow Our Grassroots Conference! Conference participants will be able to compost their food scraps and lunch leftovers with the New York City Compost Project hosted at Build It Green!NYC. We need your help to monitor bins and make sure materials are sorted properly. Build It Green!NYC accepts and processes food scraps as part of the NYC Compost Project Local Organics Recovery Program of the NYC Department of Sanitation. All food scraps are composted in Queens and the finished compost is used for local greening projects and street tree care!
