Gowanus Opening Monday 11/19
This Monday, 11/19, we will open the Gowanus Reuse Center at 10 am. Our regular hours will continue there (M-F 10-6, S&S 10-5) from now on. The phones and internet at Gowanus still don't work, but should be up and running by the middle of next week.
Gowanus has lots of plumbing supplies, a large number of doors and windows, lighting, some orphan cabinets (no real full sets yet), some appliances, etc. The furniture that made it through tended to be large, solid non-laminated. Everything has been cleaned with bleach by our volunteers and staff so it's ready to go. Come on down and take a look at our new layout too!
We don't have any volunteer days scheduled right now, but rest assured that there will be some coming up, so stay tuned.
