Recycle-A-Bicycle is having their 15th Birthday celebration on December 14th, 2009! Come out and show a great community reuse group some support at Superfine in Dumbo. BIGNYC is providing a gift certificate for their benefit auction.
Recycle-A-Bicycle is a community-based bike shop and non-profit organization that provides educational/job training programs and encourages environmental stewardship and everyday bicycle use. Through programs such as Earn-A-Bike, Ride Club, Cycle Craft, and Summer Youth Employment Program, RAB is dedicated to the health and well-being of NYC youth. In this past year alone, RAB has worked with more than 1,000 young people and salvaged 1,200 bicycles from the waste stream.

Happy 15th Birthday Recycle-A-Bicycle!! With only 200 of its kind in the world, only twelve orange NY400 Batavus Bicycles will be available to the public. Lucky for you, it will be at this party! These bikes have also been endorsed and signed by cycling advocates like David Byrne, Janet Sadik-Kahn, Graham Hill, Bike Snob, & more!
Other bikes and biked themed art such as the ever popular bike blender, bike jewelry, bike animal sculptures, bike chairs, bike lamps, and more will be for display and sale for your holiday shopping convenience.
All proceeds directly support Recycle-A-Bicycle's youth and environmental programming.
