A lot of people don't know that Build it Green!NYC is part of a network of New York environmental non-profits under the umbrella of the Community Environmental Center, an organization that provides weatherization and energy savings to under-served local communities.
Our sister organization, called Solar One, currently has a program to help you--yes you!--reduce your carbon footprint in the comfort of your own home!
Who? What? When? How?
Max Joel is the local residential coordinator at Solar One for the New York Energy $mart Communities Program, part of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, (NYSERDA). He can provide you with information about how you can start saving energy and the environment in your business, house or apartment. Homeowners, for instance, can apply for incentives and low-interest financing.
